Bulk Pricing Explained
Bulk Pricing Explained
Wholesale pricing is designed for business buyers, not consumers. At 121 Wholesale, many products are supplied in trade packs, outers or multipacks rather than single retail units. This page explains how bulk pricing works, how to read pack formats and how to understand your true cost per retail unit.
What wholesale pricing means
Wholesale pricing allows retailers to purchase stock in commercially practical quantities at lower per-unit cost. Instead of buying single items at retail prices, trade customers buy in packs designed for resale. This improves buying efficiency, supports stronger margins and reduces the need for constant reordering.
How pack structures are shown
Products across our range may be supplied in different formats, including:
- Single units (1PK) – one supplied item
- Trade packs (6PK, 10PK, 12PK, 24PK) – multiple units sold together
- Outer and inner cases (e.g. 24 x 9) – 24 inner packs, each containing 9 units
- Display packs – retail-ready trays or counter units
For example, a product listed as 24 x 9 means you are receiving 24 inner packs of 9 units each. Understanding this is essential when calculating your cost per retail pack and resale pricing.
How to calculate your true cost
When buying wholesale, the total price shown is for the full trade pack. To understand your margin, you need to break this down:
- Total pack price ÷ number of retail units = cost per unit
- Retail selling price – cost per unit = your margin
This is particularly important in fast-moving categories such as vapes, batteries and smoking accessories, where pack formats vary significantly between products.
Why bulk buying matters for retailers
- Better margins: lower cost per unit compared to retail sourcing
- Fewer stock gaps: larger quantities reduce frequent reordering
- Faster restocking: core lines always available
- Operational efficiency: fewer supplier touchpoints
Pricing and VAT
All prices are exclusive of VAT unless clearly stated otherwise. Final totals, including VAT and delivery (if applicable), are shown at checkout.
Wholesale pricing may change due to supplier costs, stock movement or market conditions. We aim to keep pricing consistent and competitive across all product categories.
No minimum order
We operate with no minimum order requirement. This allows retailers to test new products, top up fast-selling lines or place smaller, more frequent orders where needed.
For better value, many customers choose to build larger orders to take advantage of free UK delivery over £250.
How to read product pages correctly
Before placing an order, always check:
- The unit of sale (single, pack or case)
- The number of retail items included
- Variant details such as flavour, size or strength
- Whether the product is retail-ready or part of a larger pack
This avoids confusion and ensures you are ordering the correct quantity for your business.

Eligible limited companies can use iwocaPay at checkout to access up to £30,000 credit.
